Raymond Vecci, Alaska Air's chairman and chief executive, has resigned because of differences with the company board. Executive vice-president John Kelly has been named chairman, chief executive and president. He will continue as chief operating officer until a replacement is named. Vecci worked at Alaska Air for two decades.
