Alenia completed the first flight of a Eurofighter production aircraft on 5 April from its Caselle factory, Turin. The two-seat IPA2 (Instrumented Production Aircraft) was flown by Maurizio Cheli, Alenia's combat aircraft chief test pilot during a 25min flight. EADS in Germany is expected to be the next to fly a Eurofighter production aircraft, IPA3, followed by BAE Systems, IPA1, from Warton, UK.
