Alenia Sistema Navali has won a $160 million contract from the Brazilian navy to update its six Nitcroi-class frigates with Albatross Aspide surface-to-air missiles. The frigates will also be improved with the addition of other systems, including 13 RTN-30X fire-control radar and seven RAN-20S surveillance radar. The systems will be integrated by Brazilian Company ESCA.
