Alitalia flies FARAWAY
Daimler-Benz Aerospace company NFS of Ulm, Germany, has flown its NFS-5000 flight-management- system demonstrator on an Alitalia Boeing MD-80. It will be tested for six months as part of the European Union-supported fusion of radar and automatic-dependent-surveillance data through the two-way-data- link (FARAWAY) programme.
