Whether it's recording aircrew trainees in flight or equipping a military helicopter with the latest in airborne countermeasures, there's one company at Paris '97 which can provide the solution.

W Vinten, Hall2/K12, is at Le Bourget with a three-pronged portfolio of products, which are pushing back the technological barriers.

The British firm is offering advanced airborne recording systems which are able to cope with the most extreme temperature and pressure conditions. The cameras can record entire missions, allowing operators to gauge the progress of air-to-ground missions and air-to-air combat success.

Reconnaissance systems, which record data onto magnetic tape and can pierce hazy weather conditions to produce razor-sharp images, are also on show.
