ALLIEDSIGNAL Aerospace has announced new business totalling $1.1 billion, including a contract potentially worth $700 million to supply lessor GE Capital Aviation Services with auxiliary power-units, avionics, wheels and brakes for up to 254 Boeing 737s.

Additionally, AlliedSignal has won a $250 million deal to provide Singapore Airlines with air-turbine starters, avionics, wheels and brakes for up to 61 Boeing 777s. Malaysia Airlines has awarded the company a $100 million contract to supply avionics, wheels and brakes for up to 17 777s and avionics for up to 13 Boeing 747-400s.

Topping off an "outstanding" first quarter for AlliedSignal's aerospace businesses, CASA has awarded AlliedSignal Engines a contract, potentially worth $54 million, for uprated TPE331-12 turboprops to power a new -400 version of the Spanish manufacturer's C.212.
