AlliedSignal has delivered the first prototype combined cockpit voice/flight data recorder to Eurocopter for the EC155 helicopter, a modified and stretched variant of the AS365 Dauphin medium twin. The solid-state recorder provides 1h of cockpit audio and 10h of flight data, and weighs only 4kg (9lb).
