GEC and Alcatel are to share some Fr19-22 billion ($3-4 billion) from the planned international flotation, set for 22 June, of half of the GEC-Alsthom power and transport engineering venture. The sale will swell cash built up by GEC being spent on defence acquisitions such as Tracor, due for completion on 17 June.
