Ameco Beijing has completed freighter conversions on five Boeing 757-200s at its Chengdu facility.
The MRO firm says three out of the five aircraft were from Chinese cargo carrier SF Airlines, of which the final conversion was completed in December 2015. It did not name the owners of the other two aircraft.
Ameco Beijing’s Chengdu facility, located at Shuangliu International airport, first developed passenger-to-cargo capabilities on the 757 in 2014, and completed its first conversion in May 2014.
It also provides overhaul work on the Rolls-Royce RB211 engine that powers the type.
Flightglobal’s Fleets Analyzer lists SF Airlines as operating a fleet of 32 aircraft, including 13 757-200Fs.
