Amedeo Air Four Plus will acquire two Airbus A380s to be leased to Etihad Airways.
The aircraft, which are expected to be delivered in March and May, will be leased to the Abu Dhabi-based carrier for 12 years, according to a statement.
Amedeo Air Four Plus has issued 125,000,000 shares at 104 pence per share to acquire the two A380s, which will take the company’s market capitalisation to about £486 million ($598 million).
"We are pleased to have closed this transaction with Etihad and to continue to expand the range of airline counterparties with whom we are working," Paul Kent, Amedeo's chief commercial officer tells FlightGlobal. "We will continue to work to grow and differentiate the Amedeo Air Four Plus investment portfolio, which continues to provide investors with premium returns and capital growth opportunities."
The company, which went public on the London Stock Exchange in May 2015, already has six A380s and two Boeing 777-300ERs each on lease to Emirates Airline for 12 years.
