In an effort to improve its on-time performance due to airport congestion and bad weather at Chicago O'Hare and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), American Airlines is restructuring operations at both hubs this autumn. It is modifying Chicago operations so that weather problems there do not affect the rest of the system, and smoothing operations at DFW.
