American Airlines plans to install Gogo wi-fi to its new Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft from June.
The ATG connectivity will be installed on the 30 CRJ900s that the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier has on order with the Canadian airframer, according to Gogo.
American-subsidiary PSA Airlines will operate the aircraft.
The airline joins Delta Air Lines in offering inflight wi-fi on its large regional jet aircraft. United Airlines, which is adding Embraer 175s to its fleet, has not disclosed any plans to add wi-fi to its regional aircraft.
In 2013, American said that it planned to add Gogo wi-fi to the 47 E175s operated by Republic Airlines that it was adding to its regional fleet.
