American Trans Air (ATA) has taken delivery of the first of 39 winglet equipped Boeing 737-800s. The Indianapolis-based carrier will receive all the aircraft by April 2003, including 14 from International Lease Finance. All the aircraft will equipped with Rockwell Collins Flight Dynamics HGS 4000 head-up guidance systems.
