American Airlines has begun flying between Chicago O’Hare and Shanghai, China, in a bid to grow international capacity from 27% in 2002 to about 37% this year. The airline has also started a limited service from Dallas Love Field in its battle with Southwest Airlines over limits on service from the in-town airport.
