Bali's beaches beckon for lucky winners Desmond Kuek and Louis Ho, who will jet off in luxury with their partners to the Indonesian island on Friday, courtesy of American Express.

Amex, an official sponsor of Asian Aerospace 2004, marked its association with the biennial event by tying it into its Premium Shopping Pleasures Grand Draw for Singapore cardholders and teamed with Bombardier Aerospace and Intercontinental Hotels to offer the luxury two-day trip.

The winners, drawn at random from millions of cardholders, were announced at the show yesterday. They will experience the luxury of the Bombardier Global Express - the "queen of the skies", as David Dixon, Bombardier's regional vice-president, sales Asia-Pacific called the luxury ultra long-range business jet.

Congratulating the winners, Jim Smith, vice-president of American Express Global Network and Establishment Services in Asia, said: "It's the first time a financial services company is sponsoring Asian Aerospace.

"It has long been a premier global event and American Express is pleased to bring its premium offerings to complement participants' experience of Asian Aerospace."
