All Nippon Airways (ANA) has signed a 10 year part repair and material management deal with Pratt & Whitney, which will help reduce annual costs by around ¥2 billion ($24.3 million).
Under the deal, P&W global service partners will service the PW4000 engines on ANA's fleet of 30 Boeing 777s.
"Since the PW4000 engine entered into service at ANA in 1995 we have been very happy with Pratt & Whitney's continuous efforts to meet ANA's needs for this engine," says Hiroyuki Ito, ANA's engineering maintenance executive VP and board member.
P&W's commercial engines & global services president Todd Kallman says: "We will provide additional knowledge and experience as the PW4000 manufacturer, as well as maintenance, repair, and material logistics and support to ANA through our P&W Materials International and global service partners networks."
