Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) is to sell its minority stake in Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) in a move aimed at helping it focus more on its own cargo operations. ANA says it has agreed to sell its 27.59% stake to fellow major shareholder Nippon Yusen Kaisha, which will then have majority ownership. NCA operates 12 Boeing 747 freighters while ANA’s own freighter fleet comprises a single Boeing 767-300F. It has orders in place for two more of the type and “intends to continue to expand its cargo operations in the future”.
