Commercial aircraft net orders came in at 214 new orders for June 2012.
The highlight of the month was Norwegian’s order of 100 Airbus A320neo aircraft. ABC Financial Leasing also ordered 45 Comac C919 aircraft while FedEx placed an order for 15 Boeing 767s. In the regional sector, WestJet and Nordic Aviation Capital ordered 20 Dash 8s and 12 CRJs respectively. Transaero Airlines also ordered six Sukhoi Superjet 100s.
Airbus totalled 104 new orders in June while Comac and Bombardier received 45 and 32 respectively. Boeing received 19 orders.
In the narrowbody market, 100 A320neo aircraft, 45 C919s and three 737s were ordered. The widebody orders in the month were 15 767s, four A380s and a single 777. In the regional market, the orders were for 12 CRJs and five ERJ-135s as well as 20 Dash 8s, six Superjet 100s and three L-410s.
Overall, the order backlog for airliners ended June at 9,629, up 91 on the previous month.
