Commercial aircraft net orders came in at 326 for November 2012 with another five swaps.
In the highlights of the month, Aeromexico ordered 60 Boeing 737 Max aircraft while Singapore’s SilkAir ordered 31 737 Max aircraft and 23 737-800s. Mexican low-cost airline Interjet placed an order for 40 Airbus A320 neo aircraft while China Aircraft Leasing ordered 36 A320 family aircraft.
Airbus received 186 new orders while Boeing received 123.
In the narrowbody market, 183 A320 family aircraft were ordered, of which 46 were for the re-engined neo. A total of 116 737s were ordered, of which 91 were for the Max variant. The widebody orders of the month were for five 787s, two 747s, two A340s and a single A330. In the regional market, the orders were for five 190/195s, five MA60s, four Y-12s, two PC-6s and a single DHC-6.
Overall, the commercial aircraft order backlog ended November at 10,373, up 33 on the previous month.
