The Dubai airshow's Royal Pavilion – where VIPs gather to share ideas and to watch the flying display – has been sponsored for the first time, by BAE Systems of the UK.
"BAE Systems has a long and proud tradition of innovation and firsts," says Simon Keith, managing director Middle East. Sponsorship of the Royal Pavilion was "a great opportunity" to reach "the widest possible audience of the region's decision-makers".
"I am keenly aware of how important the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and wider Middle East are to BAE Systems and I have firmly set my sights on creating new regional partnerships to bring out the best in each of us."
