The Ansett Group has revealed that its Australian and New Zealand airline operations both ended their year to the end of June showing significant profits. Ansett Australia reported an A$98 million ($74 million) operating profit, despite the repayment of A$250 million in debt and starting up of the carrier's new international services. The smaller Ansett New Zealand operation also swung back from a loss, to turn in NZ$2.6 million ($1.7 million).
