Air New Zealand (ANZ) is absorbing former Qantas New Zealand BAe 146s into its regional fleet as it takes over the domestic routes of failed Qantas New Zealand. ANZ is taking over four of the airline's eight BAe 146s and adding 100 staff, many from the defunct carrier. The BAe 146s will be used in ANZ's Mount Cook Airlines operations, flying between Christchurch and destinations on the country's South Island.
