Air New Zealand (ANZ) has temporarily wet-leased a Boeing 737-300 from Air Malta to help cope with a capacity shortfall. This was caused by an engine failure in December on one of its Boeing 767s on take-off that will keep that aircraft out of service until April. The 737 will operate flights until 10 April between Auckland and Christchurch.
