Trevor Went, managing director of the UK's Newcastle Airport, has been appointed chair- man of the Airport Operators Association (AOA) for the coming year. Went, who has been deputy chairman for the past year, succeeds Richard Everitt, UK airport authority BAA's strategy and compliance director. Brian Summers, managing director of Birmingham Airport, becomes deputy chairman for the next 12 months.
