David Ogilvy has been named executive chairman at the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of the UK (AOPA UK), following the death of Ron Campbell. He has been vice-chairman for the past five years. Jack Wells, president of the Civil Service Aviation Association, becomes vice-chairman of AOPA UK's executive committee. Pamela Campbell will serve as secretary of the European region of international AOPA (IAOPA) and as UK delegate on IAOPA's flight crew licensing committee. Martin Robinson, marketing and information executive for AOPA UK, will be UK representative at IAOPA European regional meetings. AOPA's instructor committee has been restructured under the chairmanship of Ted Girdler, who operates the Thanet Flying Club at Manston airfield in Kent.
