The US Army has successfully completed a "dense pack" demonstration at Williams Gateway Airport, Arizona, in which six Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters were loaded into a Lockheed Martin C-5A. Boeing says it took 2h for the Army to prepare each of the aircraft for loading, using 12 soldiers. Fire control radar domes, main rotor blades and some antennas were removed for the flight.
