The Israeli air force is to modernise its fleet of Boeing AH-64 attack helicopters to a common standard, says Brig Gen Zeev Snir, head of the service's material directorate. "We plan to convert all our Apache AH-64As to the Israeli version of the [AH-64D] Longbow," he says. The air force will receive 13 Apache Longbows from 2005.
