Mobile communications firm TriaGnoSys now has authority to design, build and certify hardware on aircraft after receiving Part 121 design and production organisation approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency.
The German company has also secured an EASA European technical standard order (ETSO) for its GSMConneX system, which includes the AeroBTS+ line-replaceable unit that provides GSM mobile phone services, wi-fi and a capability to transmit wireless IFE content to an aircraft.
TriaGnoSys partners with OnAir to provide hardware and software for inflight connectivity on business jets and Thales selected the company to provide technology for its TopConnect communications suite.
TriaGnoSys launched GSMConneX in April 2011.
