ILFC, talking about its new 777-300ER order. "Of course we converted some orders we already held for 777 'Classics' into -300ERs." 777 Classics! Sacré Bleu! Makes you feel old, doesn't it? The traditional battle between Hairbrush and Megaplanes took a new turn on Tuesday when a savage thunderstorm pounded Le Bourget. After the storm had passed a damage assessment revealed the Megaplanes chalet was intact but that of Hairbrush had alas suffered structural failure. Was it the forces of nature at work, or, as some dark mutterings suggested, sabotage? Over-zealous security guards at Le Bourget inspected the Budgie Daily News truck as it arrived with that day's epic production. "'Alt! Passes please. Merci. OK, that's the pass for the truck, now monsieur, where's yours? What do you mean you are the truck driver? No, monsieur, I am afraid the truck may enter, but you cannot." (Impasse subsequently solved by the traditional exchange of euros).
