Australian general aviation manufacturer Gippsland Aeronautics has received Argentinian certification of its GA8 Airvan and the turbocharged GA8 TC-320 version.
Certification by Argentina's civil aviation administration follows two marketing tours of South America conducted by the GA manufacturer. Potential for the GA8 is particularly strong in the mountainous region of the Andes for the turbocharged variant, Gippsland believes.
The company has conducted demonstrations in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.
Gippsland is represented in Argentina by Aerotec Argentina. Work on certification for Chile has started and is expected to be finalised next year, says Gippsland
