Arkia acquisition

The six Boeing 747-200Bs being acquired by Israeli Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Arkia Israeli Airlines (Flight International, 23-29 August) are coming from Thai Airways International. The aircraft, believed to have been bought for a mere $117 million, will be converted to cargo configuration by IAI's Bedek division.
