The fifth test of the Israel Aircraft Industries Arrow 2 anti-tactical ballistic missile failed on August 20. The missile was launched from the test site at Palmachim, Israel, 3min after the target, a surrogate ballistic missile, was launched from a ship anchored offshore. The Arrow 2 went out of control 8s after leaving the canister and was destroyed by the test-site safety officer.
