Elta will test the EL\M-2000 radar associated with the Arrow anti-ballistic missile system in the next simulated missile intercept, now scheduled for mid-1995. The radar will be used for target detection and fire control of the Arrow. Use of mature phased-array technology used in other programmes has helped to minimise the development time. Two years after the programme began, the first operational system is in its final assembly stages.
