Lockheed Martin, Rolls-Royce and VT Group, having formed the Ascent consortium to bid to become the training systems integrator for the UK Ministry of Defence's Military Flying Training System (MFTS), will co-locate at Rolls-Royce in Bristol early this year. MFTS will provide tri-service pilot and navigator training, with initial service provision due in 2007 and full service provision in 2012.
