Goodrich expects to deliver the first set of Airbus A380 passenger emergency evacuation slides in September 2005. Testing has been under way since 2000, and the slides are designed to be operable in winds from any direction of up to 25kt (45km/h). The design of the production slides will be finalised by year-end. Meanwhile, Goodrich has delivered the first A380 body and wing landing gears to Airbus UK for installation in the test rig.
