Taiwan is emerging as the most likely recipient of the Russian Igla (SA-16/SA-18) shoulder launched surface to air missiles purchased by Singapore. While the infra-red guided missiles are being bought initially by Singapore, sources claim that the island state is not the end user. Taiwan had been seeking to procure the USA's Hughes Stinger SAM.
