Astra Jet will begin deliveries of the Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) Astra SPX by the end of January, following US certification of the Mach 0.82 business jet on 8 January. IAI marketing arm Astra Jet expects to deliver 14 aircraft in 1996 after delivering only six SPs in 1995. IAI continues to search for a new partner to replace Yakovlev as builder of the fuselage on the Galaxy business jet.
