This Atlas Air Boeing 747-200 freighter (N808MC), inbound to Düsseldorf, Germany from Dubai, overran runway 23L when it landed in snow. The No 2 cowling and engine suffered severe damage, apparently from impact with an obstacle in the overrun, and it caught fire. The front of the cowling completely separated and fell away from the main structure in the incident on 24 January.
