Atlas Air expects to take delivery of its first Boeing 747-8F in October, followed by two more in November.
The airline's parent company Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW) provided the delivery timeline today, based on a revised scheduled from Boeing that is being reviewed by AAWW.
Atlas Air has 12 747-8Fs on order, and has said previously it hoped to receive the first three in the fourth quarter of this year. The three aircraft will be operated by British Airways World Cargo under a five-year wet-lease agreement.
The carrier first placed a firm order for the 12 aircraft in 2006, with options for 14 more. Deliveries were initially scheduled to begin in 2010.
