Filippo Bagnato, chief executive of Avions de Transport Regional (ATR) believes the Russian market is a "very promising" one for the turboprop manufacturer. It follows the first sale of ATR aircraft into Russia, to UT Air.

"We started with two aircraft but the president of UT Air has said it plans to acquire up to 15 aircraft," says Bagnato. The two ATR 42-300s - due to be delivered this month - will be used to develop UT Air's regional market.
