The Dutch Advanced Tooling System company (ATS) has signed a contract to supply a complete tooling set for manufacturing Airbus A380 wing spoilers, clearing the way for the start of preliminary design.
ATS has been selected by Patria, the Finnish Aerospace and Defence group, to supply the tooling for the production of the composite spoilers at Patria's new manufacturing plant in Jamsa, Finland. The design and manufacturing of the tooling systems will take place at one of the ATS companies in the Netherlands, Kleizen BV, at their state-of-the-art site in Almelo.
