The Royal Australian Air Force is selling its ageing fleet of 10 Hawker Siddeley 748s and is considering leasing six modified Learjets, provided by National Jet Systems, for the navigator training role. Two further HS748s, operated by the Royal Australian Navy as electronic-warfare training aircraft, are to be replaced under a separate tender, due before mid-May.
