Australian scheduled start-up Macair, based at Townsville, Queensland, has taken delivery of two ex-Regional Airlines Saab 340Bs which it is operating on scheduled services linking Townsville, Brisbane, Cloncurry, Mackay and Mount Isa. Macair, now owned by the Western Queensland Collings family, began as McKinley Air Charters. Its present expansion will bring the company to a permanent staff of 75.
