Marshall Aerospace handed over  the first of three ex-UK Royal Air Force Lockheed Martin C-130K Hercules aircraft to the Austrian air force on 19 March, after a modification programme.

The UK overhaul provider carried out structural maintenance on the aircraft and installed traffic alert and collision avoidance systems, dual inertial navi- gation systems, engine instrumentation displays, fuel gauges and weather radar. A flight-management system has also been fitted to the aircraft to allow them to be operated without the assistance of a navigator.
