Austria's largest retail chain Billa is set to start its own airline in conjunction with German charter carrier LTU. A 100% subsidiary of the Billa group, LTU Billa is launching with an Airbus A320 transferred from LTU, with another aircraft expected to be added late this year. The company expects to carry 100,000 passengers in its first year, and generate a turnover of about g40 million ($48 million).
