Austrian Airlines chief Herbert Bammer has indicated that the airline is seeking a partner in Southeast Asia to strengthen its presence in the region. Negotiations are under way, with Singapore Airlines and Malaysian Airlines, on fashioning a marketing alliance, including code sharing with an agreement expected to be reached by the end of the year. Equity participation is not thought to be on the agenda.
