Barco (booth 948) is showing off new next-generation display and processing hardware at the AVUSI show.
The new display hardware is for new situational awareness tools. These include a processing hardware that can fuse video imagery with a synthetic map, says Barco sales vice president Ron Farine. The hardware is designed so that major unmanned aircraft contractors can quickly certify the equipment for sense and avoid data as it becomes available in the future.
There are two sets of displays. One set is for the operators with a four-megapixel resolution, while another is an extremely high-resolution six-megapixel screen.
The Barco hardware also allows for almost lag-free data transfers from station to station. Which enables sensor operators, pilots and analysts to share data quickly and efficiently.
Those quick transfers are enabled by Barco's data-compression technology.
