Bombardier is expected to announce at this week's National Business Aircraft Association show a deal to supply business jets to United Airlines fractional ownership programme Avolar.
Avolar says that it is looking for light jets to complete its fleet, and sources consider the Bombardier Learjet family to be a favourite to meet this requirement. Bombardier president Pierre Beaudoin told analysts recently that the Canadian manufacturer is now looking outside its own Flexjets fractional scheme for business jet customers.
Avolar last month added the narrow body A319-based Airbus Corporate Jet to its line-up, which includes Dassault Falcon and Gulfstream types.
