A LAMIA Bolivia British Aerospace Avro RJ85 carrying players from a Brazilian football team has crashed in Colombia.
Jose Maria Cordova International airport operator Airplan says in a statement that the aircraft had reported a "power failure" to air traffic control.
There were 72 passengers from the Chapecoense Real football team and nine crew members on board the aircraft, registered CP-2933. It adds that the jet had departed from Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
The aircraft was spotted in Cerro Gordo in Colombia's Antioquia state by the Colombian air force, however poor visibility would not allow helicopters to land at the crash site.
Police have been able to gain access to the site by ground, and are reporting that six people have survived, Airplan adds.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the RJ85 was built in 1999 and is owned by Totha International Aviation AVV.
