Avrotec, the maintenance and refurbishment arm of British Aerospace Regional Aircraft, comes to Paris '97 on the back of two new contract wins.

The first deal involves undertaking four-year structural checks, repainting work and the retrofit of engine life computer systems on seven China Northwest BAe 146-300 aircraft.

Avrotec will also be carrying out C checks and installing advanced GNS-XLS global navigation systems on five of the Malmo Aviation BAe 146-200 aircraft.

Peter Bradley, Avrotec director, says: "We are currently working on contracts for Air Nova from Canada and Air Baltic from Latvia and we have just completed an eight-year structural test programme for Bhutan's Druk Air.

"I think it illustrates that our customers come to us irrespective of the distance involved."
